(i know this wasn't directed at me)
i've got a few scripts that do some filing for me, it's broken into
two parts
Part one (in php4)
query the drive and lookup cd on the freedb
rip cd to (/temp/<cdnamehash>/trackxx.cdda.wav (using cdparanoia)) and enter metatdata
into a file called "discinfo.nfo"

Part two (in /bin/bash)
traverse the /temp directory in my "reliquary" user (the user that
"owns" all the mp3 files) and for each dir.
encode all trackxx.cdda.wav (or trackxx.cdda.flac) files using the
metadata in "discinfo.nfo" (which is also in that dir)

Filenames are <tracknumber (starting at 01)>-<trackname (a-z,A-Z,0-1
only, all other chars replaced with '-')>.ogg
filed under

/<artistname>/<cdname>/(tracks)

or

/Soundtracks/<cdname>/(tracks)

if you (or anyone else) are/is interested give us a bell.
