I have some lengthy audio recordings (30-72 minutes) of an all-day
conference on CD. They are PCM, 16 bit stereo at 44100 Hz.
What I'd like to do is make some "rule of thumb" tables for people to
make guestimates about encoding with Speex, specifically regarding
encoded file size vs content length. I won't be timing the encoding
process because that is dependent on the available hardware.
I'm by far no expert in audio recording/encoding/streaming/etc. so I'm
not sure which settings can mix and which don't make sense used
together. Does anyone have any settings they'd like to see results for
right away (next couple days)?
