Yeah, I see that you're right on this one, but using separate IP-
addresses is not necessarily more than an administrative problem.
How are multicast IP addresses assigned and would it really be a 
practical problem for a broadcaster to get more IP addresses?

You've already mentioned this and it might of course be more complex 
to implement such a solution than simply reading the data from an 
http url, but the implementation effort is IMHO justified.
