This is a realization of the original vision for Vorbis, which was to
supply a modern codec, that while quite good, would be flexible enough
to get subtantially better over the years.  The original dream was for a
codec with a 10 year lifespan.  The fact that acTuV has succeeding in
this way gives us some assurance that we've done a good job.  Both the
tuner and Monty deserve major props for their work, as do all the people
who helped with tools and testing and sample files.

This is exactly the reasons we want open, standard codecs.  Everyone
wins.
