For whatever it's worth, I have not seen *anything* like that.  It just
loves my Linux 2.4.21 (Debian unstable) box.  I load the "uhci" module
for my USB support (at boot time), and then I just "mount /neuros"
as a non-root user and it's happy as a clam.

The only times I've ever had to reboot the Neuros are when it locks up
during playback.  And every time it's done this, except for one anomaly
that I couldn't track down, it was because I had beta4 Oggs on it.
