I remember someone said it will be a little worse.

AFAIK: no. Major changes to the format of the vorbis files would be bad at this
point anyway. Now the HW-Players start to implement Vorbis and more and more
people use it.
Monty will change something minor to the Vorbis format, which is basically just
a rearrangement and won't break backwards compatibility and may also be applied
to files encoded with older versions. This rearrangement will make the peelers
life easier.
This is how I understand this. Please correct me if something is wrong.
