You mean Vorbis v1 when you say ogg v1 I assume. But I never said that 
we should do this or try to do this with v1. I am just saying it might 
be worth while to look into techniques of this kind, in the future.

I don't know, I can only slightly hear the difference between aac at 
64kbit and vorbis at 64kbit. I don't know what coder the aac file was 
encoded with though. But have you tried AACplus then?
