Interesting idea. But I´m afraid "Brocken" is not meaningful
in this context.

If you make a rock fall into pieces (e.g. by not been
careful enough with C4 ;-) those pieces would be called
"Brocken". IMO you can only apply "Brocken" to irregular
shaped fragments of something bigger. (I assume my
former english teacher would kill me if she could
read this...)

For many people "Brocken" has a negative meaning.
(e.g. "Kotzbrocken" - when you throw up your
meals there are those little pieces of the things
you ate... argh... better don´t call your boss so...)
