Hello folks,

I was wondering what people's thoughts are on the best quality settings
are for encoding ogg (linux). I'm thinking this as i hear about bitrate
peeling and the like which may help me in the future should i want lower
bitrates. At the moment for building a jukebox and band recorder i'm
after the best sounding settings rather than space, and without moving
towards FLAC... (ok, so space is a little issue or i wouldn't be asking
this question). The signal is into some real nice output gear so is why
i need a good sound source. What are the benefits for using extreamly
high bitrates?

Any comments would be primo!

Regards,
Kerry.
