Don't know. Depends on the amount of system-specifics, I guess.
The integer-only stuff will be part of the normal branch, I think.

In principle, you could mix before the mdct backward transform, if all
streams have the same window size && shape. This will gain at most about
1/3 of the computation time. It probably isn't worth it.

"Not that much". It depends a lot on architecture.
You probably want integer-only results; I'll let you (and the list)
know later :-)
