howdy all... this is probably a simple problem. i'm trying, for the first
time, to compile vorbis from source. when i try to configure for the vorbis
module (after doing ao & ogg modules), configure gives this error & quits:

checking for Ogg... no
*** Could not run Ogg test program, checking why...
*** The test program failed to compile or link. See the file config.log for the
*** exact error that occured. This usually means Ogg was incorrectly installed
*** or that you have moved Ogg since it was installed. In the latter case, you
*** may want to edit the ogg-config script:
configure: error: must have Ogg installed!

in the config.log, here's the relevant message:

configure:1926: /usr/local/bin/gcc -o conftest -O20 -D__NO_MATH_INLINES -fsigned
-char    conftest.c -lm  -logg 1>&5
configure:1919: ogg/ogg.h: No such file or directory
configure: failed program was:
#line 1916 "configure"
#include "confdefs.h"

#include <stdio.h>
#include <ogg/ogg.h>
[...snip...]

now i checked, and /usr/local/include/ogg/ogg.h is there. what am i doing
wrong?

my system is FreeBSD 4.2-STABLE/intel on a p-200.

thanks
peter
