[Vorbis-dev] linux c++ example

Hi I am new to ogg.  Is there a linux C++ example of ogg playback ?  Specifically I am interested in loading one or more ogg files, storing and playing back.  I am interested in being able to access the raw wave data say to apply an envelope or effect.  Also I'd be interested to know if ogg data is uncompressed in memory or uncompressed when it is played back.
