Hmm. Give this patch a try.
It works fine with 7-bit chars. It made a real mess out of the umlauted
characters I fed it. Weather or not it was the _correct_ mess is still open
for debate; vorbiscomment, winamp, and the winamp info screen all did
different incorrect things with the data. I suspect that I don't have
anything that reads UTF-8 correctly here.
Are there plans for the winamp plugin to recognise UTF-8? Does it already
recognise UTF-8, and I'm feeding it garbage? Peter?
