[Theora] Why do you use Theora?

A section of my master-thesis will be to discuss advantages and disadvantages 
of different video-codes. Strictly speaking there will be a part, where I 
want to itemize szenarios where Theora is used.

Therefore I've some Questions:
- Do you use Theora?
- Why do you use Theora?
- Using Theora, which bitrates and resolutions respectively do you encode 
with?
- Do you think, Ogg is an appropriate container-format for using with Theora? 
Wouldn't fit e.g. Matroska better?
