link to rarewares does not work.


Speex is only optimized for 8 16 and 32 khz? 
Most wavs are at 44.1 khz.

There is no option to set mono? Or are all files mono?

No example for bitrate. I found later it is 64000 for 64kbit.

It is --bitrate, not -bitrate, like it says on http://www.speex.org/docs/manual/speex-manual/node6.html#SECTION00610000000000000000

When use -vbr, program exits.
