The way I see this, it'll be a long time before a single-mic denoiser 
can really improve *intelligibility*. However, they can be useful in 
many setups as a sort of "improved VAD" when mixing noisy signals from 
multiple environments or when one is listening for a long time. Of 
course, performance varies a lot depending on the noise. When it's very 
stationary, some denoisers can give good results. On the other hand, I 
haven't yet heard a denoiser that goes any good on babble noise.
