[paranoia] wav files produced are VERY quiet: addition...

I noticed that it only does this on come CDs.  They are in fine condition,
just record wav files that are very quiet.  Also, these same CDs are very
slow to record.  I was right, as I tried other CDs and they were fine in
volume and speed.  It is an Acer ATAPI 24xCD.
