     The short answer is that the problems are likely due to occasional
single bits errors and probably completely inaudible.  If you use, for
example, cdrdao --show-data and then diff, you can find exactly which bits
were unreliable.  For more info, there was a thread on this (in which I was
the one asking this question) last June-September under the subject
"Streaming Errors."
