A bug(?) report.

Dear Paranoia developers,

In my first attempt to "rip" a cdrom by the "cdparanoia" program, the
program went into a spin in ripping the 13:th track of 20 with the
error message:

hdc: packet command error: status=0x51 {DriveReady SockComplete Error}
hdc: packet command error: error 0x34
  ATAPI device hdc:
  Error: Medium error --(sense key=0x03)
  (reserved error code) -- (asc=0x11, ascq=0x5)
  The failed "<NULL>" packet was:
  "be 04 00 03 39 3a 00 00 08 f8 00 00"

It was repeated over and again at roughly every second and scrolled down

the screen while the program ran in some kind of loop that could only be

interrupted by <ctrl>+<C>. This did throw me out of the program and I
could not rip the later part of the track.

I downloaded parano.gz a second time but the behavoir prevailed. Hence
it
probably is something in the code for downloading that causes this
beha-
voir.

I believe the program is written to continue past such errors on the
disk
even if they cause hickups in the recording and hecne I think there is
some bug.

I am yours
