[paranoia] cdparanoia fails to open CD

A number of things can affect it, yes; I have to speak in generalities that
result in less mail :-)

I've seen recent kernels with the feature removed, and it also likely will not
affect a SCSI or SCSI emulation device being accessed directly via -d /dev/sg?
(but then cdparanoia will not find the ioctl() device).
