Yup - that's what I've been doing since getting the unit. The biggest
downside is that for a large number of tracks (I've got on the order of
4k) the positron rebuild step takes on the order of 15-20 minutes. If
you look in the list archives (there's an URL for them at the bottom of
this message) you'll find the rsync command-line I'm using.

As a general update - I've found that mounting the neuros with the
"sync" option eliminates the need for the bwlimit flag to rsync, and
seems to make communication more stable in general.

Correct. IMO this is a bug - and I've filed it as such in the xiph
bugzilla.

Not quite true - with the --sizeonly flag to rsync it bases it's
decision (as the flag suggests) on the size of the file - it doesn't do
a checksum) speeds things up enormously.

As far as I can tell, positron doesn't (yet) support the pc dbase
feature anyway.

It's not the vfat layer - positron does some remapping. There are some
characters (like :, for instance) that are illegal on vfat - a quick
google will find you a list and you can use find to locate files in your
library that contain those characters and rename them as appropriate.
