According to some tests:

A listener enters to your website
http://will.illinois.edu/am/willplayer/ and his/her web browser can not
open the player installed there.

However, if the listener point his/her web browser directly to the link
of your Icecast2 mountpoint
http://icecast.will.illinois.edu:8000/WILL-mp3-48 the player that the
listener has installed by default opens and plays the stream perfectly.

For this reason you should seek a solution by modifying your HTML5
player. As David says, the problem is not with Icecast2.

A good option is to have more than one alternative as Michel shows in
http://www.radiogalere.org/ecoute/index.html

<source src="http://www.radiogalere.org:8080/galere.mp3"
type='audio/mpeg'>
<source src="http://www.radiogalere.org:8080/galere.ogg"
type='audio/ogg'>
