Why thanks. Link to the project from wherever you can and keep
spreading those files.

Yeah, Ubuntu really has gone far these days. I don't think any Linux
distro ever aimed this much, and it just keeps growing! Amazing
thing.

Free formats. There is a big difference between open and free
formats, and I think one of these days I will write an article about
it. Basically, though, Xvid is open, Theora is free. Wikimedia won't
use the likes of Xvid because of the patents associated with the
format, so even though a format may be open, it doesn't mean it's
"free" of patents and other restrictions.

We use the name Open Media, because (among other reasons) nobody would
take "Free Media" seriously. But we are promoting free formats. Free
media sounds like a cheap ad. Free formats actually means an
ideology.

Sure.

As you may probably know, SOM content is available under the Creative
Commons Attribution License. Use wherever you want with no
restrictions save for attribution, and you can contribute back if you
like. Banners are all available under the Public Domain.

Speaking of the site, I believe the people of Nicaragua speak Spanish.
With the upcoming release of the Spanish section on the site, I'm
considering opening a multilanguage forum so as not to crowd this
mailing list unnecessarily nor discriminate people who do not speak
English. Would your project consider point people towards such a
forum?
