Of course you are right. But, that graphs inspired me to modify some
numbers in RC3 source code. I changed cutoff frequency for phase
information from 6 (q2 & q3) to 16 kHz, and after compiling I got the
RC3 version with I cannot detect a mentioned problem.
Total length of my samples after -q3 compression is about 20% bigger
then length of files generated by v1.0 with -q3. It is same as length of
1.0 files with -q4,999, but on that quality with that version I can hear
mentioned phase distortion.
