I agree it's definitely not a one man job.  I was more thinking that putting
a few manufacturer entries into a new tabulated format might be a start
towards encouraging people to fill in a little more information. Some things
like availability are very transient though.

I'm not really familiar with the HA community, but that's probably worthwhile.
It would be worth having a plan for what it should look like first though.
A clearer tabulation of the players could be a place to start (and wouldn't
require any knowledge beyond what's already there), but it really needs
to be clear that these are just the players /known/ to support Vorbis.
