[Vorbis] Dot product in decoding

Hi All,

Some doubts on decoding:

Dot Product: (Reference Vorbis_Spec_I: Page 31)

" Multiply each element of the floor corve by each
element of residue vector"..." The result is the dot
product of the floor and residue vectors ..".."The
result is audio spectrum.."

Now: 

Residue is: MDCT - Floor (F)  = R

How can F.R = MDCT? I guess this is a approximation?
If yes what is the magnitude of max error introduced?
