I use the "remote" almost exclusively - it does everything the main unit
can, and comes in handy since I carry the main unit on my belt. I've had no
problems remembering what each jog does - volume is on the same side as
lock, and next/prev is above the display.
To go up a directory, push and hold the navi/menu button for about a second.
