[vorbis] Bitrate peeling, when?

Gidday,

Was wondering if there was any kind of road map for bitrate peeling support?

I realise that a lot of people believe peeling to only be useful for 
webcasting, but those of us that like high-bitrate music at home and 
also have a handheld player with limited space, such a capability would 
be extremely useful.  At the moment I simply transcode from 256kbps down 
to 64 when downloading to the portable, but of course this is a much 
lower quality than a 64kbps file taken from the original.

I'd be happy to help with testing or something.
