If nobody's answered, my first guess is that nobody knows about Watcom. Or
that Robert hasn't posted the offending code. It's a rather vague plea for
help, at any rate.

You've done so in the wrong forum; vorbis-dev at xiph.org would be a better
mailing list for this sort of thing.
