vorbis software versions Was: [vorbis] file(1) support for Ogg and Ogg/Vorbis

i found that if i encode a piece of music with winLAME rc2 into
vorbis, file info says that the vorbis vendor is "Xiphophorus
libVorbis I 20020408" - now, isn't that supposed to be of a later
date? the winLAME author says on his page that "Ogg Vorbis encoding
library version 1.0 RC3" is used. so this, i presume, is not the final
1.0?
