You probably know that already, but just to make sure. You'll lose
quality, no matter what direction you're re-encoding in. I wouldn't
recommend doing so for any reason but portables. That is, re-encoding
MP3 to Ogg Vorbis really makes no sense, ever. (Okay, except for Vorbis
streams with some high quality MP3s as source material, but then I'm
also just talking about files here.)
