Garf was doing some testing on very low bitrate Vorbis, in the range of 4-8 
kbps.  He had some proof of concept songs encoded that sounded really good 
for their size.  (On the understanding that anything more complex than a 
simple tone is going to sound like ass at that level.  :-)  If memory 
serves, he was gunning for getting CD encoded onto a floppy.
Of course, now that I'm writing this, I can't seem to get to his 
SourceForge site (sjeng.sourceforge.net) to find and link to the files.
