This brings to my mind a need for a flashy yet simple, ogg logo. Something
two-tone in color and simple enought to be stamped or impressed onto the
portable-ogg players that will be released in the future. Like DVD and CD
logos you don't even need more than a glance to recognize them. Ogg too
will need this kind of branding if we expect consumers to ever accept it.
Without a such a logo, the Ogg format will seem temporary to the, couldn't
careless about open-source, general public types. With the impending
release of v1.0 and spec (did I hear right?) and portable-music device
developers putting more then an "interested eye" on Ogg, is it not about
time it had a logo that screamed "this is a supported format by everyone
who knows anything about noise." as apposed to "Nevermind my quaint logo
judge me for how superior I really am."
