[vorbis] version number

I probably have everyone focusing on the wrong thing. Sorry about that. What
I am looking for is the real version information, derived directly from the
DLLs (Windows platform, of course) that returns the actual, released version
information. For instance, prior to the 1.0 release, I could not find any
API call that returned "1.0 rc3" for my application (RipTrax) to use in the
About dialog (providing proper credit is extremely important to me). I
*believe* I checked all the API calls (the documentation is still not
complete enough to be sure) but could not locate a call that returned this
information. If you know how to access this data, PLEASE let me know. I'm
concerned that as we progress toward the next release (2.0?) I will be stuck
hard coding the interim version information in the About box because, 1) I
can't find the correct API call, or 2) The data does not exist.

I hope this is more clear. Sorry for the confusion.

John
