If it wasn't for some rm butterfingery on my part, I would have had a go at
testing some more useful modes. ff123's results are a bit more interesting.
They obviously have a better ear for that sort of thing, than I do (and I'm
beginning to suppect I really don't want to have a good ear for artifacts).
