If I understood this correctly, RC3 files are well peelable right now,
it's only that the method of peeling has been revised and isn't quite
compatible with the current way of peeling anymore. :)

Anyways, peeling will be not practicable before 1.0 as this is the time
when the tools get written. It doesn't hurt too much when RC3 files
won't be peelable with those tools as long as the new way of peeling is
both more easy to accomplish and more efficient (those are assumptions I
took from Monty's mail, so I might be wrong).
