<p>That's one possible way of doing things.  Something that should be 
considered is whether -b has any application that cannot be handled 
equaly well by some combination of -m and -M.  Having to specify those 
values manually to emulate -b would be enough of a deterrent to ensure 
that -q is used except when absolutely necessary.
