<nitpick>That's because RFC2047 obsoletes RFC1522.</nitpick>

*This* is a good idea.  The more UTF-8 is used, the sooner we will see
 wider support.  Chicken-and-egg, I know, but then *someone* has to
 sit on the egg if no hen is around.
