I did this. I posted to the list and cc'ed Ross privately. Archive

I received no response, just more bug reports and announcements, 
sometimes every other day.

I'm not saying he's done a bad job. It's just that the bug reports (! 
not even the announcements) for his (non-core) program spam this list 
and that he does announcements about every other day. And I think 
that's off-topic. I told him, he didn't respond and so I wrote a 
sarcastic comment. I'm sorry about that, it was not good style but I 
hope you understand what I mean now.

Yes, that's the case. And I just think that he had not found that 
balance and so it's good that he decided to move announcements to the 
website. That's all really, and the tone of my mail (shouting, etc.) 
obviously couldn't bring across what I meant. Again, I apologize.
