Hmmm, a good point. Always a Good Thing when a company lets up such
hardcore restrictions!

As part of the Linux kit one gets a cross-gcc, video libraries, etc.
SDL and CrystalSpace ports are already in progress (if not working). I see
no reason why I couldn't write code to run on any PS2. I'm not sure how
they're planning on handling the issue of copy^H^H^H^Hregion protection
with burns of user CDs, but one the PS2 harddrive is available on the market
I see now reason why Joe Schmo user couldn't go online with his PS2, download
SuperMultiChannelVorbisProgram, and run it from the disk.
