I don't have that CD, can you put up a sample? 

Are you sure this is a bass problem and not an increase of treble?

Have you done a blind test on this problem? At what bitrate does
it disappear? Do the tuned versions (http://sjeng.org/ftp/vorbis) 
also exhibit the problem?
