I believe the problem with your solution is that you'd have to split the
ogg file into seperate streams, first. If that can be done without
recoding, fine, I stand corrected, but if not, behold this scenario:
User downloads an ogg file of a live concert from ... somewhere. It
consists of exactly one stream and now the user wants to mark each of
the songs so that {s|}he can play them without having to seek.
Alan's comment technique would work, splitting the file up would (IMHO)
be too much of a hassle.
