I see.  What I want to know is what dates actually went into vorbis files
produced by these versions (betas 1 and 2, rest seems ok).  Is there an
official place where I can find old tarballs?  I found some at
http://snow.thaumas.net/ogg/src/ and discovered that 20000508 is the
vendor string output by both beta1 and beta2 - probably wasn't updated in
between.
