Opennap doesn't care about the actual contents. It does require that
things specify the same parameters (things like length, bitrate, etc.)
which makes it less useful for non-media files. Also, one of the main
authors decided to cripple bitrate specification (because he's a
blithering idiot, as far as I cant tell). 

gnapster supports vorbis in the upcoming 1.5 release (full support,
apart from the fact that it won't tell you the bitrate because the
server is stupid). I think 1.5 is due for release 'soon' (later this
week), or there are snapshots available from somewhere.

Oh, and a client doesn't need explicit support to be able to download
the files, just to 'share' them.
