[vorbis] No other free audio Codecs?

Hey all.
I've been looking for any other Free (speech) codecs and haven't 
found any. So it seems that it's rather important that Ogg Vorbis 
stick around and be at least a little "successful" (Whatever that 
means, I guess not getting sued would count? ;)
I have no idea what kind of maths is involved in creating a new Free 
codec, but im guessing it's rather difficult so i'd just like to say 
Thank You to Xiph again, for trying :)

If anyone knows of any other Free(speech, beer such as MP3 
doesn't count) could they please share?
