Well its becoming pretty clear that redundant and non seperable multidimensional
basis transforms are going to be the main way forward (although there's always
fractal and AI methods), but how do you keep this halfway computable?

I thought this approach was a nice:

On the topic of multidimensional transforms, can anyone explain to me why Tarkin
does the transform in x/y/z consecutively? Isnt it common to do x/y/z filtering
in series at each level of decomposition?
