There are considerable seek improvements waiting in patch form for me
to get to.  I'll do it this week come Hell or high water.

Again, there are some patches waiting to deal with this too.  The
difficulty is that most patches arrive in '95% complete' form, and
that last 5% takes some effort :-)

No, there's considerable work left for 1.0.
