Hi !
I am interested in seeing some of this features
includede in future releses or at least discussed here on the list
where seems to be a number of inteligent people who are way more
professional then I am ...
Some of the features here are more relevant to streaming enthusiast,
some to authors of music, some to audio documentarists so please keep the
options oppened ..
----------------------------------
features/suggestions for opensource audio format
audio format:
-multiple audio chanells (?achived in ogg)
-streaming trough http for possible cacheing in proxy servers (?)
-multiple audio tracks of different resolutions (!)
practical issues:
*low quality samples separated from high quality sounds;
*voice separate from sound(example heaving content in several languages);
*posibility of selective streaming(voice only or only answers in interview
...);
*posibility to mute some tracks and start playing from first unmuted
track?)
-embeded XML file for description and creation of content
practical issues:
*extra track data (per chanell)
*extra author/copyright-copyleft info :)
*score ? (so that someone can build a player that would play tracks within
file as samples for score /mod like concept)
*text for karioke like applications or for needs of deaf people or
transcripts or similar
meta-audio format (maybe should wait for next version)
************
modular - objective music - using fuzzy logic metaphore for writing score
/ best example is "generative music" concept
www.sseyo.com product called Koan Pro, format and concept
---------------------------------------
Best wishes,
Zeljko Blace.
