[vorbis] Ogg Mime Types? (was Re: The OGG Extension...)

Personally, I think we need an extension for ogg files that should be
played with the users default audio player, an extension for ogg files
that should be played with the users default video player, and a generic
.ogg extension that should be played by the user's all-around ogg
player, probably a versatile video player or something...
At any rate, I'm actually writing this mail about mime types, sometimes
called file types. Mime types are in the most use on web servers, as I'm
sure most of you are familiar with. For example, when a web server sends
a .pdf document to a web browser, it starts by sending a "Content-Type:"
line that says "Content-Type: application/pdf". A web browser like
Netscape will have helper application prefs that have an application or
plugin assigned to application/pdf, which will be launched with the file
Netscape just received.
What standard mime type should be used for Ogg Vorbis files? The
argument for the general .ogg extension really breaks down because mime
types always have to be either audio/foobar or video/foobar (for audio
and video that is... there's also application/, image/, etc).
Also, when a standard mime type is decided upon it should be certainly
be registered by someone. (I'm not really sure how this works...) Until
a mime type is registered it has to be audio/x-foobar, instead of
audio/foobar.
