Interesting.  Well, since I already got Tremor compiling last week, I guess
I'll keep digging into it further.  The only reason I can see floating point
still being a win on PS2 is

(a) There's a totally decoupled coprocessor with four-wide float SIMD (but
it doesn't have much memory)
(b) Integer SIMD on the PS2 is either two 32x32->64 multiplies or eight
16x16->32 multiplies; I suspect the latter wouldn't be very useful.
